Clarksville Gas and Water Department issues update on West Washington Street water main work

 Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, Tennessee – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) reports water leak repairs and road closure on West Washington Street have been extended until around 7:00 p.m. tonight.

CGW closed a section of West Washington Street to through traffic from South Spring Street to South First Street for repair of a main water leak. Motorists will be diverted by South Spring Street, Union Street and South First Street.

Local and emergency vehicles will be permitted; however, all other motorists are advised to avoid the work area if possible.

Water failure and low water pressure may also be possible for area residents during construction.
