InverTay Homes names McGill for plumbing and heating package

Mcgill is to deliver a plumbing and heating pack for InverTay Homes at its multiple new housing development sites in Dundee.

The Dundee-based home builder is currently building a variety of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom semi-detached homes, with a mission to build sustainable, affordable and desirable housing, and using local artisans wherever possible.

As part of this goal, local contractor McGill has launched a work program worth around £ 330,000, with future work also being discussed.

Co-Founder and COO at InverTay Homes, Eddie Wighton, said: “InverTay has grown steadily over the past few years and we need contractors who can join us on our demanding journey. It is essential for us that our teams can deliver high quality work, on time and on budget. Throughout the interviews, we were impressed by McGill’s steadily strengthening approach and ethics. They have demonstrated their ability to meet InverTay’s needs and our long-term plans. I am happy to have them on board.

Mike Pratt, Commercial Director of InverTay, said: “We are delighted to be able to confirm our appointment, and the work will be carried out by McGill, part of the United Capital family. McGill will become our “preferred” plumbing and heating contractor and we hope this will be the start of a fruitful, long-term professional relationship between our two companies. It is important for InverTay to have local entrepreneurs on board wherever possible and this appointment cements our commitment to create more jobs in the region.

Bernie Kelly, Contract Manager at McGilladded: “The entire McGill team is extremely proud to work with InverTay Homes. This is another local business who believes that every home should be finished to the highest possible standards and also sustainable. With McGill’s future firmly focused on sustainability, this is a program we are very happy to participate in. We look forward to working with InverTay Homes more often in the future as they embark on further developments in Dundee and beyond.
