Senior Aerospace (Thailand) Ltd. is a subsidiary of Senior plc – an international manufacturer of high-tech components and systems for leading original equipment manufacturers in the global aerospace, defence, land vehicle and power and Energy.
The 1,296 photovoltaic modules of the solar power plant are expected to generate more than 18 GWh of clean electricity over the lifetime of the project, which will avoid more than 10 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions, helping the manufacturer to reduce its energy costs and contribute to a sustainable environment. Cleantech Solar will now maintain and operate the PV system for the duration of the agreement.
This commissioning follows the successful partnership between Cleantech Solar and UPECA Aerotech Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia, also a subsidiary of Senior Aerospace PLC, where Cleantech Solar maintains and operates a 615.6 kW solar power plant on the roof of the UPECA Aerotech factory in Subang, which manufactures high-precision technical components for the aerospace and energy.
The projects in Thailand and Malaysia expect to generate over 33 GWh over their lifetime and avoid over 19 kilotonnes of CO2.
“Senior Aerospace (Thailand) Ltd. is very pleased to have engaged and collaborated with Cleantech Solar in one of our many steps in pursuing ongoing emissions reduction goals,” said Simon Geoffrey Shale, CEO of Senior Aerospace (Thailand) Ltd.
