The Consulate of Montenegro complains about the water supply

After a letter exposing the conflict between two Delhi government departments went viral, the Delhi Jal Board is the next Delhi government entity to receive serious complaints. The Consulate of Montenegro has written to Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena complaining about the poor quality of water supply to his office by the Delhi Jal Board. After receiving the complaint, LG VK Saxena asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to look into the matter.

In his letter to LG, the Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Montenegro, Dr Janice Darbari, wrote: “I have a humble request as the water supply for the consulate has not arrived for two days. The Delhi Jal Board said it would send the tanker but no action was taken. The water supply is low pressure and dirty. Please resolve the issue as it disrupts the functioning of the diplomatic mission in India.

The letter was shared by the official Delhi LG Twitter account. Tagging Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the tweet, LG Vinai Kumar Saxena wrote, “I have received a complaint from the Consulate of Montenegro regarding non-supply of water, unavailability of tanker trucks and water dirty at low pressure by DJB. Directed CS to fix the problem immediately. Advised CM Arvind Kejriwal Ji to deal with such issues which affect India’s image in the world.

Recently, the Delhi government’s education department wrote to the capital’s state public works division complaining about the poor quality of construction and maintenance work at various schools in Delhi. Now, the Montenegro Consulate has complained about the Delhi Jal Board’s water services, adding to concerns of the Delhi government, which is already facing criticism over the imprisonment of PWD Minister Satyendra Jain as part of of a money laundering case.
